Holiday Wish List

When Oprah decides to retire her Favorite Things List, I’m ready to fill her shoes. You don’t want to miss this list because here is what’s on Shelissa’s Holiday Wish List:

Polkadot London loungewear. When we say soft, we mean sooofffttt. The kind of soft you wear all weekend and forget to get dressed kind of soft. Polka Dot London is like wearing a hug. Try the pink or blue sheep print in the long sleeve shirt top with sweater style cuffs and lace hemmed boy shorts. I heard about them first through Daphne Oz and I swear by them! If this company starting making bralettes and such I would scoop them up!

Kai candles. Classic fragrances, light and feminine with good Julia Roberts My Best Friend’s Wedding throwing power. A friend who once owned a super chic clothing store in Georgetown (Urban Chic) introduced me to the original candle, and I haven’t found another candle I like more. Try their new Rose fragrance for a change.

Cozy Earth socks. You can never have enough comfy socks. My son said I need to become more adventurous with my sock color choices and suggested I mix and match. One day I did, and guess what? I loved it! Get crazy and mix and match colors with their plush lounge socks and whatever you do get a set, or two.

Electric California sunglasses in Oak. Another classic and sustainable. Help mother earth and your eyes while looking regal doing it. I can picture Duchess Kate styling these classic frames with a sophisticated cashmere knit turtleneck sweater by designer Beth Rowley. You can never go wrong with classic!

Ann Mashburn Tartan Merino Scarf. Style it, tie it, wrap it. Whatever you do, get this scarf. Her scarves are made at a heritage mill that’s been operating for centuries. Not only does Ann come off as your next best friend, she has a great selection of cashmere that rivals other top designers.

I can’t decide if I like the SPANX velvet leggings or the leather-like leggings better. I’ll let you decide.

I have to include my new The Bees Knees Lip Balm on the list. As much as I like a subtle hint of flavor, this lip balm is pure and simple. I think Ina Garner would approve. Does Ina’s new cookbook Cooking with Jeffrey have you thinking of (decadent) comfort food dishes, too?
